3. Keyword

These are the words important for any given site. It is for these words only that you want to rank high on the search engines.

4. Backlink

It is simply a hyperlink that references back to your site. It is also called as inlink or simply a link.

5. Linkbait

Put in simple terms it is just content that you have put up on the blogs or the sites with the view to attract more and more backlinks.

6. Linkfarm

When you have a group of websites referencing to each other it is referred as a link farm.

7. Meta tag

Placed inside the head section these give information about your website to the search engines.

8. Crawler

It is a part of the search engines that finds new links and information on the internet. It is the first step in indexing.

9. Anchor text

This is the text on which you can click and hence navigate to the other page.

10. Title tag

It specifies the title of your website and is one of the important considerations by search engines.
